The Christian Science Reading Room located at 1000 Broadway in Oakland, California, is a unique institution that serves as a book store, church, library, place of worship, and store all in one. As a branch of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts, founded by Mary Baker Eddy, we are proud to be part of the worldwide Christian Science movement. We invite you to join us for our Sunday services and Wednesday meetings at our location on 1880 Mountain Blvd. in the Montclair District of Oakland. Our Sunday church services and Sunday School for children and teens begin at 10:30 a.m., while our Wednesday Testimony Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. Our First Reader prepares readings on timely topics from the Bible and Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
