Memorial gardens in Oakland, California

The Morcom Rose Garden, located at 700 Jean Street in Oakland, California, is a breathtaking park filled with thousands of exotic roses that bloom from Mother's Day in May through October 31st. The garden features an enchanting Amphitheatre of Roses, perfect for weddings, renewals, memorial celebrations, and ceremonies. Visitors can stroll along winding pathways, admire a reflecting pool, and enjoy the soothing sound of fountain cascades. The Garden is wheelchair accessible and can be reserved for events from May through October. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. The Friends of the Oakland Rose Garden is a dedicated group of volunteers known as "Dedicated Deadheaders" who help care for the roses and build a sense of community around the Garden. Volunteers who complete a certification program can assist with gardening tasks and events at the Morcom Rose Garden.
