"I called to make an appointment at this location but was told I would have to go to the La Jolla location. Don’t be deceived.. I was surprised to learn that “Mole Removal San Diego” is actually “Secret Vein Clinic” upon my arrival. This clinic is also an urgent care. Dr. Mann is not a dermatologist nor a cosmetic surgeon. I paid $800 to have one small mole on the bridge of my nose removed. Although he tries to advertises that he is a specialist, but he is far from it... he only removed part of my mole. I chose this clinic due to its positive reviews but after I posted my genuine review, their marketing intern posted a review. Soon after, several new accounts without profile pictures/review history posted 5 star reviews, all within the same day. I assume these fake reviews were posted in an attempt to bury my honest review. Google determined these were not authentic and removed them. During the procedure, I was uncomfortable because Dr Mann was rushed by his assistants to numb me (other patients were waiting). Instead of focusing on my procedure, they spoke about other patients, procedures, and even went as far as to say how ugly another patient's mole. I left the clinic not feeling confident in his skills or demeanor; I never wanted to return. The next day when I changed the bandage, I saw that he had left the upper half of my mole. I had no desire to return after my awful experience the previous day but I called the clinic to share my concerns anyways. Dr Mann was too busy to even find the time to return my call at the end of the day. I decided to get a second opinion because, naturally, I was very concerned. I was able to schedule a consultation, attend the consultation, & schedule a follow up with a local clinic (complimentary) before I heard back from Dr. Mann. My new Dr. could not identify what technique Dr. Mann used to do this procedure. She decided to monitor my healing. Unfortunately, she said she may not be able to remove the rest of the mole depending how the wound heals. I called Jacklyn, the office manager, to request a refund as advised by my new clinic because I need corrective procedures. The call turned unprofessional quickly when Jacklyn began to speak about how my previous review made her/her staff feel, how she is certain that Dr. Mann didn't leave any of the mole behind (see pics), & that she even spoke to her daughter about my medical situation.  Throughout this conversation, Jacklyn was focused on her own feelings & did not acknowledge my poor experience or poor result. Jacklyn told me that she would have a meeting with the Dr. & get back to me with the decision. She never called when she said she would. Over text I attempted to set up a time to speak to Jacklyn & heard nothing back. When I called I learned they BLOCKED my number because they felt "threatened" when I stated I would look into other avenues to get a refund if we could not reach an agreement. Instead of gaslighting me, doctoring fake reviews, & blocking me.. this clinic should have taken ownership of the poor experience & incomplete result they gave me. They should have respected the fact I am uncomfortable returning to a Dr who has poor bedside manner & left me with half of my mole. They should be willing to take steps that respect my comfort/boundaries as a patient to make this situation right; The only solution this clinic has offered me is to return to see Dr. Mann and that is not a solution I am comfortable with… especially after being blocked and accused of “threatening”. I wouldn't trust this clinic with your mental or physical well being. Go to a board certified cosmetic dermatologist who will perform the procedure correctly the first time."
