The staff at the canyon from the director, clinicians, to the daily staff are some of the finest psychiatric health providers that I have had the pleasure to to meet. I worked in healthcare for 14 years and absolutely recommend seeking treatment at the Canyon. "At the darkest time in my life I new I needed help. As result, I found my way into residential treatment in the Canyon in Malubu. I was emotionally broken but I knew I needed help. I was hopeful yet fearful to be in residental treatment for 30 days. I didn't know what to expect, I just knew I wouldn't survive if I didn't face my pain, hurt, trauma, and shame. Let me just tell you, it takes so much courage to seek help. Especially residential treatment. Getting completely honest with myself and my pain, known and unknown, was scary but necessary for my survival and hope for the future. Because Montare made me feel safe and had (and has) amazing professionals, they played a huge role and helped guide me to my current journey in becoming my authentic self. The services at Montare in the Canyon in Malubu, is not only a beautiful property, it was a place where I could feel safe, receive healing through group sessions, private one on sessions, Montare also provided weekly yoga, accupuncture, and daily workshops. They provided mind body and healing to my soul through their services which included a dietician and chef. They have a soft approach in group sessions where one does not feel judged or condemned by others. I'm so thankful to have received residential treatment at the Canyon. I have been freed from some trauma that kept be bound, lost, and hopeless. Today I continue to stay connected to Montare through the after care Alumini weekly online support groups. In addition, I've made Brave life long friends with people who are commited to their continuous healing. I would recommend Montare to anyone who is suffering with addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, among other things, that cause hopelessness. "Montare, specifically the Malibu Canyon location, is a truly special place. It is a luxurious place to rest and heal. There is a great balance of holistic practices along with traditional western therapy. I spent a lot of time in the beautiful hot tub or creating art when I wasn’t in group. They offered lots of information and processing groups along with sound baths, nutrition, music therapy, and more during my time there. Besides the residential treatment, they offer an aftercare program for alumni led by a wonderful mentor who genuinely cares to build meaningful connection (shout out to Lynne!) Years later and I’m still in touch with the community. So grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here, not once but twice. I recommend Montare to all my loved ones. "Montare has amazing resources. Although, Karen is a manipulative therapist who used my mental disorder against me. Looking back though, when I’d get frustrated/overwhelmed nobody could really calm me down or talk some sense in me but Gabe. Gabe Supremacy!!! He is an amazing guy, I miss him, I wonder how he’s doing. Ok i love Owen too but he was my therapist. Gabe is the best on site staff there HANDS DOWN. Hilarious guy, I was never not laughing around him."

"My stay at Montare has been so great. It has been like a home away from home. There is a great balance of therapy and rest. Everyone is easy going and helpful. I can say great things about so many staff members but I want to give a special shout out to Gabriel who always went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable. I loved that they let me have my video games during leisure and that I could vape. This is the best program I have been to and would recommend it to anyone that needs support."
