"It has come to my experience that doctor Vu D Tran's clinic office is no longer a place that everyone should visit. I have been supported doctor Vu since he first opened his clinic in Huntington Beach when I came in for my annual check up and lab work, I felt bad for him because he had no assistant to prep the supplies for him to get the blood work done. He had to run here and there and to other rooms to gather the supplies. That was my first impression. Then, I had a bad experience with rude staff on the phone from Garden Grove location just to make an appointment. Today, I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Vu for annual check up and lab work, and it got canceled the same day. The reason was that they no longer accept my insurance. I made my appointment since Feb 20th, and today is Mar 6th. The staff asked for my insurance information when I was making the appointment. They did not inform me that my insurance is no longer accepted. I have had my work schedule blocked off for today's appointment due to fasting, and the appointment was not until 2pm. Not to mention, 2pm is the earliest that Dr. Vu can see patients at any location. To the staff or the doctor, canceling the patient's appointment at the last minute might not mean anything to them. But to the patient, it means we have to call off work, arrange our schedule around the appointment's time, fasting since the night before until the appointment time, and so much more."
"This place has gone bad. Used to be good but have very inexperienced people work now and everyone I came across lacked common courtesy of greeting you with a “hello” or “how can I help you even”. Literally “do you have an appointment?” Once led back to take vitals the person taking them didn’t know what they were doing and had to ask for help in which the person helping said zero words and made me feel uncomfortable the “I don’t care about people” attitude. Once in the room “waiting to be seen”, I waited for 40 minutes where no one came to check on me, give me a heads up they knew I was there or etc. just kept me waiting. I hate the lack of courtesy in these situations. Like we all don’t have busy schedules? If I was 10 min late they wouldn’t see me and make me reschedule, but they can take however long they want to see you. I decided to leave after 45 minutes of waiting and advised the front desk I wanted to be refunded my co-pay since nothing was done for the reason I was even there. Lastly on this visit was I was there to have some blood drawn for a routine test which I’ve had many times before (sexual health) and the gal helping me asked me if I’ve fasted. (She knew why I was there as she mentioned it) I told her I’ve never been asked to fast for this blood draw and she replied “oh I’m new” (and again not surprising as my blood pressure was also taken on my forearm and not bicep because she said “you have big biceps and the strap doesn’t work right” and again, I’ve had my blood pressure taken on my bicep many times and I’m not a very big or muscular guy. So do what you’d like with this review, just don’t expect quality care from this location *additional notes due to inaccurate response… I technically arrive at 12:25pm after I made the mistake thinking my appointment was 12:30 not 1:30. No one greeted me, lights were still on and people saw me, but no “hello” or etc. lights went out at 12:30 without a word. I realized my mistake and came back at 1:25. Lights were still off and the gal sat in the dark until 1:30 without and acknowledgement. I understand lunch break so I did not mention anything. To state I was taken into the room at 1:44 is a lie. I was taken back at 1:35 and at 2:15 I decided to leave. A simple “we’re sorry we failed our service level that day” would suffice but instead you point blame on me and act as though I’m wrong."
"I had a fast and easy visit with this office. I usually see Dr Tran, who is great but this time I interacted with Myrna and the PA Don (I hope I spelled their names right). They were both friendly and helpful! The office was easy to find and clean. I didn’t have to wait long to be seen and I got my issue taken care of."
"The staff and doctor were kind. I felt like they were patient and asked me several questions to see how I was doing. They even explained why the wait time was long during my visit which was cuorteous of them. They would try to help me with my issues by giving me recommendations and even referring me to a physical therapist. They would also listen to any questions I had and would let me know what to expect after the appointment from results to getting a callback. Overall had a great experience. Would come here again in the future."
"I absolutely love Virtue Medical Group! The staff and doctors are all amazing. They genuinely seem to care about me and my health. I can call and get same day appointments regularly, and if they can't get me in it's next day at the worst. The facilities are nice and modern. Great locations. They just make everything SO easy for me to try and take care of myself. To the entire staff of Virtue Medical Group, I salute you!! Thank you very much for all that you do, it is appreciated"
