"So as a nurse of over 8 years, I have been in and out of hospitals and yours across the country. Torrance memorial emergency room is so professional! From security guard making sure people are attended to while keeping them safe, to the kind receptionist and the nurses and doctors, it was just a wonderful experience (as wonderful as going to the emergency room can be). I'm not sure why people down review it, we could as it healthcare professional, I can say that these people are fishing and courteous, and considerate"

"Went to ER for dengue fever test on advice of my doctor. Not only did they not do the test, they administered several unnecessary procedures without advising me in advance. Ended up advising me to go home and take Advil (which is actually risky to take with dengue). Ended up paying an exorbitant bill (even with insurance coverage) for poor service and bad medical advice. Clearly did not know what they were doing. I’m a loyal Torrance memorial customer but moving out of their network after this experience. Scammy and terrible."

"This was a great experience for me. The hospital staff were all excellent in service and care. Alyssa and Jazmyn were kind, professional, and speedy. A clean hospital with great triage protocols. Would drive the extra miles for this level of care."

"I brought both my kids to the ER because of fever, and weakness. The doctors were great dealing with both my kids. Iam giving a 1 star because one extremely rude person with no manners. When both my kids got discharged I noticed that they had sent their medications to different pharmacies I told them it was ok if they already sent it was in Carson but we live in Torrance. Anyways we drove there mins you that this was at midnight. When we got to the pharmacy they said they only received a prescription for only 1 out of 5 medications that the dr had prescribed. I had asked cvs if they can contact the hospital but they wouldn’t. I called TMMC and asked for the ER. I mentioned to the ER nurse/receptionist that I was having issues getting the medication and she was so rude saying that everything in their end was correct and that if CVS was having issues that they should contact them and she hanged up without me being able to tell her that I had already talked to CVS and they said that they had to fax over the prescription again because they did not get it. I was so upset because I I had my sick kids in the car and this nurse/receptionist couldn’t refax the prescriptions. After she hanged up on me I got a call from TMMC and it was the doctor that saw my kids. She was so kind and understanding of what was happening and she made sure they sent over the prescriptions to the right pharmacy."

"Exceptional care at the ER! I walked in with excruciating pain from a pilonidal cyst (tail bone area). I had just gotten off of a 6 hour flight into LAX and needed care FAST. Shockingly, I was able to get from the waiting room to a bed with a painkiller IV in under 60 minutes. Unheard of speed for an ER! There were very few people in the waiting area which I was surprised by. The speed and efficiency were unparalleled. Despite the discomfort of the procedure (the draining process was pretty painful despite being on morphine and localized anesthesia - ouch!!!) but the team made me feel as comfortable as possible and provided excellent care throughout. My doctor was Dr. Monica K. Lee! I was very stressed about choosing a hospital outside of my hometown, but I’m sooo glad I picked this place. All in all, I was at the ER for roughly two total hours - a miraculously low period of time. I wouldn’t expect that speed on any visit, but I think the stars aligned in my favor last night. Anyways, I now have a game plan to see my primary care team for ongoing treatment and possible cyst removal. Grateful for this team!"
