Established in 1990, the park spans 40 acres of open space and features amenities such as a bike trail head, walking trails, picnic shelter, and baseball diamonds operated by the Lakewood Little League. The park is situated on the east side of the San Gabriel River and was renamed in honor of Jacqueline Rynerson, a former mayor of Lakewood who played a key role in the park's development. With its diverse mix of recreational opportunities and commitment to sports, Rynerson Park exemplifies Lakewood's status as a Sportstown USA city.
