"The owner is very rude. Called ahead and asked for the price for a blow dry. as I entered, she did not greet me, but promptly asked me sit at the hair wash station. As I sat, I wanted to ask her if she is able to do a specific style. She rudely said, you have come to a blow dry bar, I know my job. I regretted not getting up to leave at that point. Then she goes on to pull and tug at my hair, when I expressed discomfort, she told me I’m too sensitive. While doing my hair, she complained that I « have too much hair ». I saw what she was doing and told her that I wanted outward turns as she was doing them the other way around. Again, she said, let me do my job. Basically asked me to shut up. As expected, I was not happy with what she did. What was worse was that she asked me to pay 50 percent more while settling the amount because I had too much hair!!!! I will definitely not return and recommend anyone to not go to this place."

"I absolutely love coming here and I love my hair when I leave! Naz is the best! I found this gem when I was in LA for a month for work in late March of this year. I usually get a blowout twice a week, so I was really hoping to find someone good while in town. Naz did a fabulous job! My hair is coarse, curly and thick, but when I leave, it is straight and smooth with great bounce. Naz did my hair twice a week for that month I was in LA. I loved it EVERY TIME! I admit that the owner may appear abrupt at first, but only at first. Once we started talking I could see her kindness and how important my hair was to her. Now I’m back in LA for work. I just left Merci Blow Dry Bar LA and once again, my hair looks fabulous! Thank you Naz!"

"I just had one of, if not the worst, salon experiences in my life; so much so that I’m crying in my car after having just walked because I’m angry at myself for not walking out earlier AND for paying for such a horrible experience. I will be as detailed as possible to hopefully save anyone else the experience I just had: From the moment I walked in, the owner didn’t greet me but ordered me to take a seat at the hair washing area; she angrily started washing my hair and said she was upset that her previous customer was on the phone, apparently the call interrupted that service so she’s running behind. At that point I figured she was having a bad day, it happens. She doesn’t say much then again orders me to another chair and says she’ll be back soon. 20+ minutes go by, in the chair with wet hair and nothing. She finally comes back; asks what kind of style do I want, flat or curly, I say curly (I’m getting a blowout) she proceeds to aggressively dry my hair and it looks horrible. Im hoping it’ll improve as she goes on, I should have just left but I still have hope. I know midway things don’t look as good. She reaches for a curling iron and I ask her to not use a curling iron, my hair is thinner, could we use the brush? (Like every other blowout I’ve had) she claims the iron is easier (of course, and she’s running behind because of the other client) and that the heat will be high on my hair I say ok, let’s just do flat. Hoping she’ll somehow fix the mess that’s my hair. She spends another few minutes and then is done. She’s clearly rushing to get to the next customer. I am not exaggerating that my hair looks worse than when I do it myself. I go to check out and she claims a blowout is $50; I ask and say but your website says $45? She says the website is out of date. I *still* pay $50 because I don’t want any issues. I quietly tell her that the experience is the worst I’ve ever had. No apologies, she blames the girl before me and I leave. Total time spent on my hair is maybe 10-15 minutes, including washing. I implore you, please don’t put yourself through the experience I just had. Not only was it extremely upsetting but my hair looks absolutely terrible and I paid $50 just to have to go home and fix it myself."
