"Always a great atmosphere, great food and good beer selection! Only knock is it's usually packed and takes a minute to get a table (and sometimes a parking spot). We love ordering ahead and taking it down to the beach"

"I thought the pizza that I got by the slice was good but lacking in some sort of final flavor. So did my friend. However this is a really great place and although the music is extra extra loud, it's just a really great location if you want some pizza or beer and a vibrant atmosphere. I thought that the overall offering was very friendly I just thought that the pizza in the case that was sold by the slice was not very plump or fresh looking. I encountered another pizza place in La Jolla that I thought I needed improving in the same way. I might try that next time I just think that this is a good bet if you need a place to go and it's very welcome that it's right there in such a beautiful area."

"My boyfriend and I were hanging out in Encinitas last Saturday afternoon. We had taken a walk on the beach and the coastline and stopping by businesses here and there. We got hungry and decided to go get some pizza at Best Pizza and Brew. We've been to the Mira Mesa location and liked it so why not try this one. We got ourselves a Caesar salad and a sausage meatball pizza. The sausage was delicious and I like the sauce also. The Caesar salad had a nice creaminess to it and was savory at the same time so I enjoyed it. My boyfriend thought the pizza could have been better but he did like the salad. Service here is good because Pizza comes up pretty fast and the service staff is attentive. Parking is pretty bad here though and the lot is small so you might have to look around."

"I got an 18” half white half Buffalo chicken pizza and it is NY style- thin, floppy. The Buffalo half was great. I didn’t care for the white pizza. $31 seemed really expensive."

We hit every dive bar and greasy spoon along the way and I enjoy sharing them with you. Perched on a bluff overlooking the bright blue Pacific Ocean in Cardiff by the Sea sits a restaurant bold enough to call themselves "Best Pizza and Brew." It sits right on the coast highway and there is plenty of safe parking, indoor seats, and bar seating. They also have patio and tent dining. The vibe and the tunes are laid back and happy, it feels like I am eating on the beach, the staff and customers are happy and friendly everyone is casually dressed most in beach attire. Best pizza and beer though? Beer and pizza are specialties of mine with decades of research on both. I went with pepperoni and sausage slices and a fresh IPA. The combination of the festive mood, crisp hoppy beer and New York style thin crust were near perfect. To me a pizza really starts with the crust and these guys are on point. The beer and pizza slices ran me $15 and that is about right. Best Pizza and Beer is a bold statement and these guys clearly stand by that. I will return again for sure."
