Pocket Park Food Forest
β OpenWelcome to Pocket Park Food Forest, a vibrant oasis nestled in the heart of Cotati, California. Located at Cotati, CA 94931, our unique park is a testament to community collaboration and sustainable living. Established in partnership with Daily Acts and the City of Cotati in 2009, Pocket Park has transformed from a traditional, water-intensive lawn into a flourishing public food forest, rich in biodiversity and ecological innovation. Spanning 5,000 square feet, Pocket Park is a shining example of how urban spaces can be reimagined to benefit both the environment and the community. Before its transformation, the park consumed tens of thousands of gallons of potable water each summer and required regular maintenance with fertilizers and herbicides. Today, thanks to the efforts of dedicated volunteers and community members, the park saves at least 62,500 gallons of water annually and supports a thriving ecosystem of over 150 plants across 50 species.
