Located at 501 Upper Park Road in Santa Cruz, California, the Audrey Stanley Grove in DeLaveaga Park is a vibrant institution that continues a 40-year tradition of staging bold productions of Shakespeare and other great playwrights. This summer, they are offering a new week-long training program for high school students called the High School Shakespeare Intensive. This program includes workshops, rehearsals, and culminates in a performance on the Grove mainstage. Only open to 16 students, this unique opportunity is not to be missed! Santa Cruz Shakespeare, founded in 2014 as an independent theatre company, is dedicated to creating and strengthening community through storytelling. They bring audiences and theatre artists together to celebrate our collective humanity. The institution prides itself on its inclusive and inquisitive approach to theatre that engages with the contemporary moment.
All About Theatre
All About Theatre is a beloved local 501.c.3 non-profit theater company located at 325 Washington Street in Santa Cruz, California. For the past 20 years, we have been dedicated to bringing meaningful productions to the greater Santa Cruz community. With over 160 productions under our belt, we specialize in teaching acting, music, and dance to individuals of all ages, starting from 3 years old through to adults. In addition to our regular classes and productions, we also host monthly meetings for students of all sexual orientations and gender identities. This inclusive space serves as a hangout for allies and Queer students alike, providing a safe place to build both Queer and AAT community.
