"Sue Turner is a gem! I gave birth at the Ventura Birth Center a few months ago and am so happy I made the switch to her care in the 7th month of my “geriatric” pregnancy. I wanted to experience the full spectrum of birth and after meeting Sue and Ann, felt confident they would be instrumental in supporting me. This birth was truly blissful and unfolded beautifully, though not without surprises! Sue is extremely knowledgeable, caring, chooses and speaks her words with intention (which I believe had a huge positive impact on my wellbeing during pregnancy, birth and postpardum) and above all - practices SAFELY. Ann is also an outstanding practitioner and handled the unexpected turns skillfully. Postpardum appointments (plural!) are treated with the same care and attention as prenatal. I am forever grateful for that magical life event day in the presence of these women!"

"I had the greatest birthing experience with Sue Turner at the Ventura birth center. All of my prenatal visits were so thorough, never rushed, my other kids were able to be there with me and participate in my appointments. I was able to text her questions whenever and got prompt responses. The staff worked with my insurance too. After not the best experiences with my first two babies and the stress of covid at the hospitals I knew I wanted to try a birth center this time. This being my first real natural birth I was nervous but Sue reassured me how powerful mamas are and always made me feel I was made to this. She honored all of my birthing wishes and the post pardon care was wonderful, We were able to leave when we were ready and a midwife came to our home the next day to check on us. "There is no greater maternal care than midwifery care and if you want the best midwife you stick with Sue Turner at the Ventura Birth Center. Sue is the caring, kind and most knowledgeable care provider I have ever encountered. She thinks outside of the box, listens and respects your ideas and opinions, makes you feel loved and safe throughout your entire pregnancy and most importantly during your delivery. When COVID happened I knew I did not want to deliver in a hospital and after delivering my 3rd child unmediated but in a hospital I knew a birth center birth was what I wanted. I have been fortunate to labor through my last two pregnancies with Sue and most recently delivered my 5th baby at the birth center. Sue never made me feel like a nuisance even when I text her about a million times with questions throughout my pregnancy. She welcomed my entire family to our prenatal appointments and all my kids loved going because the environment was so warm and family friendly. She connected me with the most amazing specialists when needed and make recommendations based on my needs. She encouraged me on the days I felt terrible and checked in on me and my family even after the birth. My birth was the most amazing and beautiful and redeeming experience thanks to Sue and her staff. If you have ever even slightly considered midwifery care or a birth center birth; Sue is your gal! Myself and my family consider Sue a part of our own family now and we will never be able to thank her enough for all that she has done for us!"

"Sue delivered my baby 13 yrs ago and I received top notch care. My baby turned into a breech position 3 days before she was born, so that meant a transfer and even though I birthed in the hospital, Sue never left my side. She was so knowledgeable, was appropriately assertive, and a fantastic support. I would have my baby with her again in a heartbeat. (And I had a successful vaginal breech birth in the hospital, thanks to Sue’s connections and a great support team) I highly recommend."
