Spanning 2.5 acres, this park is not only a tourist attraction but also serves the local community with supervised after school programs for youth ages 5-14. The park features a variety of activities such as sports, games, tournaments, crafts, homework help, and more. Formerly the site of Seaside Hospital, the park now stands as a testament to the history of the area. The hospital was the vision of Dr. A.C. Sellery and served the community for many years before closing in 1960. Thanks to the efforts of County Supervisor Don Knabe, the City of Long Beach was able to acquire the site and develop it into the beautiful park it is today.
