SimonMed Imaging - Los Gatos

"Waited over an hour to take a simple XRay that took 5 minutes. I regret expressing my dissatisfaction when I was first told I was going to have to wait 30 minutes. As a penalty for getting mad I was forced to wait longer, they intentionally ignored my presence. Zero stars. This was the 3rd time I visited this office and there is always some sort of problem. I have two more appointments coming up. I'm definitely lowering my expectations to avoid frustration."

"SimonMed was absolutely superb. Every worker in this place was excellent at what they were doing and they made sure I felt comfortable at all times. They prep me so well and made sure I was not scared. I felt like I was in one of those doctor movies where all the staff was on board to make sure that everything went well. Unbelievable. Greatness"

"Had an MRI here and it went alright. The staff were really nice. They moved my appointment up so I wouldn't have to fast all day, which I really appreciate. They were incredibly professional and worked quickly and efficiently. The facility itself is... Ok? My complaints are all small, but numerous. The clinic is a cramped little space in a nondescript office park off the freeway. It's hard to even tell you're at the right place, both inside and outside of the building. Getting an MRI isn't exactly fun or exciting, so sitting on the hard chairs in the waiting room for an hour while drinking my contrast didn't instill much comfort. At other facilities, I've been given a private room and a comfy chair to drink the contrast and prepare. I probably wouldn't have cared so much if there wasn't an old lady in the waiting room staring daggers at me. I don't need a luxury spa room, but it really was not fun chugging room temp goop in front of everyone. The space is so small that the changing room is right across the hall from the employee kitchenette. I'm sure the smell of microwaved leftovers is a nice touch when your stomach is full of barium and you haven't eaten in 6hrs. Hopefully they don't see this review and just outright remove the kitchenette. The employees deserve a nice space to eat, but maybe with some more thought put into it? There was peeling paint in some places and the linoleum was chipped and scratched up the wazoo. There are lockers for your stuff, which is good. You put the key on the sill under the viewing window IN the room though. I mean, it works fine, I didn't get a key to the skull during my scan. It just seems like it wouldn't have been that difficult or expensive to put a hook somewhere? Like I get it, that's an incredibly small nitpick - but it's just one example of the general jankiness and lack of thought or attention to detail that went into designing and building this place. It seems like with the ludicrously high prices associated with imaging, SimonMed would have more money to put into their facilities. At least it was clean. If you've never had an MRI done before, you'll be pleased by the easy scheduling, efficient service, and warm bedside manner. If you have a lot of experience with the healthcare system, I think you'll get my nitpicks. Ultimately, I'd rather go someplace with great staff in a mediocre facility than one with terrible staff in a state-of-the-art facility. I wouldn't recommend against going to SimonMed Los Gatos."

"I had a great experience with SimonMed imaging in Los Gatos. Both the lady at the front desk and the technician Aaron were very friendly, despite it was late in the evening and it was on a Friday right before Christmas week. Aaron was very efficient in getting me in and out. I was able to finish two MRIs within the allotted time slot for one. He covered me with a blanket when I mentioned that I get cold easily. And he provided me with the CD within 5 minutes after the MRI. The scheduling was easy too. The online scheduling option is very convenient and I had no trouble rescheduling mutilple times to move my appointments to better times as others cancel their appointments. I highly recommend SimonMed Imaging."

"I scheduled an exam for a suspicious lump and swelling to rule out breast cancer recurrence and/or implant rupture. I was in the MRI machine for an hour with no communication from technician. I’ve never been in an MRI for that long, and I’ve never not heard from the technician when they are about to start the contrast. The report came back with no definitive reading due to “technical error” because the setting was wrong- technician failed to do fat suppression. I drove 4 hours (2 each way) for an MRI that was useless. Report said I would be called to be rescheduled for a repeat MRI. No one has called. When I called, I was forwarded to the compliance office in AZ who said it would take a few days to make a “ticket.” No offer to reschedule. We are talking about CANCER. To this day, 2.5 weeks post exam, they have not allowed me to reschedule and instead sent me a link to review. My review- STAY AWAY."
