"Wow! Everything we had was 5 stars....even the sweet tea and the Arnold Palmer! Chicken was great.....perfect breading and the meat was juicy. Fish was great! Cornbread with maple butter might have been my favorite part of the meal if itnwasnt for the crispy brussel sprouts. A little spicy but oh so sweet as well. We took a table outside and it's a great neighborhood and we had great service! Can't recommend this place enough!"

This spot offers a fun and vibrant urban atmosphere that immediately sets the mood for a fantastic meal. Despite being a counter-order establishment, the staff's attentiveness stood out as they consistently checked on our satisfaction throughout the meal. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the chicken sandwich. We opted for the maple hot version, and it was a delightful blend of flavors. The slaw and pickles complemented the juicy chicken perfectly, offering a balance of heat without overwhelming the taste buds. The fries were a delightful surprise with their crispy texture, and the chicken and waffles were unlike any I've had before. Three huge wings accompanied by a heavenly maple butter to pair with the maple syrup made for a memorable combination. It's safe to say this was close to the best chicken I've ever had. In addition to the fantastic food, the overall cleanliness of the place, including the restrooms, was noteworthy. The great service and prime location added to the overall appeal of Bawk! by Urban Roots. If you're in the Sacramento area and looking for an unforgettable dining experience with fantastic chicken dishes, I highly recommend Bawk! It's a true gem that deserves every one of its 5 stars."
