Welcome to the Cecil Fergerson Gallery, a vibrant art gallery and museum located at 10950 South Central Avenue, Los Angeles, California. Named in honor of the esteemed art advocate Cecil Fergerson, our gallery is a proud extension of the Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC), an organization with a rich history rooted in social justice and community empowerment. Since its inception during the Civil Rights movement, WLCAC has been a beacon of hope and resilience in the Watts community. Our founder, Ted Watkins, laid the foundation for this transformative work, which has continued for over 58 years. Today, led by Ted’s son Timothy, WLCAC remains committed to improving the quality of life for residents by focusing on family stability, employment, housing, homelessness prevention, and cultural enrichment.
