Children's Corner Preschool

"My son just graduated from Children's Corner after almost 3 amazing years and my youngest is about to start. We were very fortunate to find the school. After touring and researching many schools in the area, we instantly knew it was the right school when we went for a visit. The school is very warm and puts a lot of focus on the children's emotional well being. The teachers are amazing and many have been around for years. The school is play based and they always have awesome, inviting activities for the kids every morning. My son blossomed at the school and we are excited to go through the process again with our youngest."

"We cannot thank Children's Corner enough for all the efforts teachers and staff have made to help our littles grow and get well prepared for the kindergarten, so too much to say than just fit in one review - professional teachers and knowledgeable staff, fun activities and caring environment. My son started in August 2021 at 4, and was there 1 year until he started kindergarten. He had an extremely fantastic and memorable experience with Children's Corner, and made so many progresses both physically and psychologically. Teacher Joyce, teacher Christine, teacher Pam, teacher Ian, teacher Maria, teacher Melissa and the entire team is highly organized and genuinely cares about each child in their care. The reason I chose Children's Corner was 1) incredible low teacher-student ratio(1:5/6), 2)NAEYC-accredited, 3)great educational and professional background of teachers, 4)cultural diversity among students, 5)flexible drop-off and pick-up policies, 6)optional nap time. Another plus? My son is our only child, and had been staying at home without playing with other kids during the whole peak period of pandemic, so we were actively looking for a play-based school that focused on social and emotional development. I toured and visited so many preschools, but when I first visited Children's Corner and saw the big smiles on the faces of those little ones who looked happy and outgoing, running to us, campus visitors, to say hello and have strong willingness to communicate, I confirmed that it was The School. After sending my son to Children's Corner, I could see what a happy school time he had and what great friendship those students built up under teachers' cultivation. Every time when we parents went to pick them up, they never wanted to leave and always kept playing together outside of the school in the grass field for at least half an hour. The friendship and happiness they gained from school was such precious gifts that would enrich all their memories about childhood. Additionally, there were plenty of fun activities for kids to explore and special events throughout the year for parents to join. And most importantly, the best part of Children's Corner- the teachers used their encourage, patience and commitment to motivate and inspire my son to get through the toughest time of his very first school year. My son was very sensitive because of one year isolation at home during the pandemic. He scared of height, cold things, strong wind, and even splashed water, but finally overcame all the difficulties after one year at Children's Corner. The teachers encouraged him to discover through touch, kept exposing him to new activities, developed his strength and coordination, and improved his self-awareness. I was really glad to see my son always come back from school saying that "I can do anything by myself". Beyond that, whenever the kids had conflicts, teachers taught them the right way to deal with it instead of punishment. Based on our experience, Children's Corner has unquestionably been one of the best preschools for the families who are looking for places for their kids to learn and grow with fun! "Our son is about to finish 2 amazing years at Children’s Corner. To start preschool during the pandemic could have been nerve-wracking, but everyone at Children’s Corner is so warm, thoughtful, and clearly focused on the well-being and growth of each child, it made the transition extremely easy. The teachers are all wonderful and meet each child where she/he is, helping them navigate these years. I loved that they didn’t have rules around whether kids did or didn’t have to nap, when kids needed to be potty trained - the school understands that each child is unique and on his or her own timeline - and want to support each child and family in the best way possible. I’m confident in my son’s ability to navigate TK in the fall thanks to this wonderful school. "I feel so fortunate that I stumbled upon this amazing, nurturing, warm preschool for my two kids. The teachers are fantastic and many of them have been there for many years, which I think says a lot about the school. Children's Corner's play-based philosophy and programs really let my kids explore and develop their own interests and personalities, while establishing a strong foundation for their education. I also really appreciated that the programs ran year-round, which was really helpful for working parents."

"We love Children's Corner's low student-teacher ratios and dedicated teachers, many of whom have been teaching there for 10-20 years. There is a lot of thought put into the curriculum, but it is presented through play to the kids with rotating activities at tables, lots of toys (with specific developmental goals in mind), and plenty of outdoor play time. My youngest is enthusiastic about going to school and my oldest was well prepared for an academically rigorous elementary school."
