Conveniently located near Highway 101 and the San Luis Obispo regional airport, our pet resort offers quality dog daycare, pet boarding, and dog training services. Our friendly and experienced staff provides a daily playground experience for your pet in several large yards for group play. We have separate areas for small and less active dogs, allowing your furry friend to play off-leash all day in both daycare and boarding. Before making reservations, please review our requirements carefully on our website. New dogs are required to participate in a free evaluation day of daycare before overnight boarding. This evaluation helps our staff understand your dog's behavior, preferences, and energy level. Happy Tails Kennel, located at 415 Prado Road in San Luis Obispo, California, was founded in 1991 by Diann Burchak, a Cal Poly Animal Science/Pre-Vet graduate. Unlike traditional kennels of the past, Happy Tails focuses on providing a happy and comfortable environment for dogs and cats. The kennel staff, consisting of 15 dedicated members, ensures that pets have plenty of time and space to play, eat, and nap. Cats are given special attention and time to exercise and explore. Happy Tails Kennel is all about love for animals, and their number one goal is to keep pets happy. Please note that they are not taking new clients from June 14th to August 23rd. Make sure to check in by 4:00pm so your pet has time to acclimate under their care.
