Schooners Patio Grille II

"(Update 3/24- we still love it) We move to SCV not too long ago and came to Schooners after seeing a billboard on the way home. I'm just upset we didn't try it sooner... It has become our favorite spot for the entire family. Portions, flavor, ambience and price are great. And they definitely know how to serve a cold beer .. give it a try...you won't be disappointed ..."

"A friend and I decided to have lunch at Schooners. The service was prompt and efficient, with a self-seating option available on the large covered patio or at the spacious bar area. The menu boasted an extensive selection, and having been here multiple times, I can vouch for the excellence of their offerings. The traditional hot wings stood out as a personal favorite – generously sized, meaty, and bursting with flavor. Schooners doesn't disappoint when it comes to beverages either, with a diverse range of beers on tap, twisted teas, and other drink options. Their enchiladas and Bloody Mary's are particularly noteworthy. The consistently friendly and efficient service adds to the overall positive experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, attracting a crowd looking to unwind, enjoy good drinks, and catch a game on TV. Personally, I find the patio seating especially enjoyable. In terms of value, Schooners exceeds expectations with its combination of generous portions, top-notch service, and reasonable prices. It's a place where quality food meets excellent service, making it a fantastic dining choice."

"I've been here several times for a long lunch with beers. The lunch menu has a good selection from French Dip, Pastrami Sandwich, to a Cheese burger and more. All are good. The beer selection is quite good and they are served in large frosted goblets. Makes you feel good just raising it to your lips."

"Great place to watch a game. Food was good. Easy parking and plenty of seats for MNF. Staff was Excellent! Only issue I have is they allow smoking in half of the place, and it is literally half of the place is enclosed patio. I would imagine that in summer when the patio area has the walls and windows open it’s fine, but it was cold outside and therefore no circulation. Smoke hits you the second you walk in. My throat hurt after 2 hours. I don’t think I will go back unless it’s summer."

"Came here after seeing a movie and to scout out a place to watch packers’ games. Service was ok. I ordered a Bloody Mary. It was the worst! It tasted like vodka with a shake or 2 of hot sauce. Fries and wing sauce (spicy garlic) were good. Wings were rubbery. We ordered chicken and steak sliders with Jack Daniel’s sauce, mediocre at best. I do not recommend."
