Founded by Chieu Le, the restaurant/store offers a unique blend of Vietnamese-inspired sandwiches, pastries, and beverages. The idea for Lee's Sandwiches came to Chieu Le when he settled in San Jose in 1980 and began taking adult education classes to study English. After buying food from a catering truck before and after class, he saw the potential of a portable food service vehicle and decided to start his own business.
