"Was a client for two years in Florida for home and auto. Dropped me when they pulled out of the state. When I had to find auto coverage I ended coverage early, they ended up retroactively billing me for the savings I had on the home policy … reminder, they pulled out of the state, I didn’t choose to switch. Felt like insult after injury but I paid it anyways. Wouldn’t recommend."

"The worse insurance company I have ever dealt with. Recently had to file a claim for wind damage. Getting compensated for our damages was not an easy process. We own our home. No mortgage. Agent did not take time to review all claims associated with wind damage. Had to file additional claims. Eventually was able to recover cost. During this process discovered I had been paying for insurance on a home that didn't exist. Cost I was paying was more than double cost I should have been paying. When I notified local agent of this issue I was told there was really nothing that could be done to reimburse me for 4 years of over paying. I was told it was my problem for not checking my policy more closely. This is what happens when you trust people. We had even requested the agent to come to the property so they could see what would be insured. We were told they didn't need to come to the property they could tell all by using the internet. The local agent was told the home shown on the internet did not exist. The local agent ended up charging us for a 5600 sq. ft. home that did not exist. The home presently on the property is only 1200 sq. ft.. We have cancelled our insurance with this company and will never recommend them to anyone we know or meet."

"Bad insurance company now! They don’t respect there old clients!! My parents Bristol west policy got NON renewed simply beacuse there moving out of states which they shouldn’t do that they shouldn’t accept new clients not cancel there existent clients! I have directly with Farmers and they told me for renewal I was post to pay $4,000 right upfront with out any form of monthly payments! Which is ridiculous where in the hell does anyone have $4,000 just laying down they are expensive and inresponsible they send me after renewal a monthly payment plan but then told me it was a error! How could a big corporation do such error! Thank goodness I moved with Statefarm and they are much faster and more cheaper at all cost o and plus they don’t descrimanate your dog breed they cover every claims in 24 hours!"

"I was a Farmers customer for 11 years for homeowners, auto and umbrella. I had no claims (other than windshield chip repairs). I got a new job and they offered me a discount with payroll deduction if I cancelled my old policies and took out new ones directly from them (no agent involved). A few weeks later they cancelled my homeowners policy because I have a historic home. I spent many hours changing out the policies and then trying to get them to continue covering my house. I can’t imagine what it would be like if I had a claim. Even trying to continue to give them money after having no claims for over a decade is very challenging. Will never do business with them again."

"1/2/2023 FARMERS,,, YOU'RE FIRED. I have been an excellent customer for many years, I have never filled a single claim for any reason. You used a company to spy on me using old pictures of my property from Google maps so you can send me a non renewal letter because of construction debris. Guess what Farmers, you actually did me the best favor ever. I was able to shop around and was able to say my self $1400 a year for my home and auto insurance for the exact same coverage that I had with you. YES THAT IS CORRECT I HAVE THE SAME EXACT COVERAGE FOR $1400 LESS PER YEAR. BIG THANK You for that letter.... NOW I'M TELLING YOU YOU ARE FIRED."
