"After receiving an x-ray and referral from my primary physician, Golden State Ortho & Spine contacted me to schedule an appointment. I was impressed because, from experience, the patient needs to do all of the "legwork": from making the appointment (which can occasionally take" bureaucratically forever") to having to finally get scheduled months (months from then), and to confirm the approaching appointment. However, Dr. Tischenko's office was very efficient in scheduling the appointment for the following week, sending a reminder and online check-in of the upcoming appointment. The appointment itself was smooth and everything was explained first by the nurse and finally a comprehensive interpretation of the x-rays, diagnosis, solutions, and options. I elected to receive a cortisone shot, which was explained step-by-step by both the nurse and subsequently by Dr. T while he was preparing for the injection, and the procedure was quick and easy. This was 4 months ago and my knee is functional, mobile, and there is no pain nor discomfort. I felt very comfortable with Dr. T---he was calm, friendly, attentive, a good listener as well as "educator" about my diagnosis, and established confidence and trust for me as a patient."
