Castro Valley Community Center
The Castro Valley Community Center, located at 18988 Lake Chabot Road in Castro Valley, California, is operated and maintained by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. This facility offers a wide range of classes, activities, and special interest programs for the community to enjoy. The main hall of the facility is available for private events and can be rented from 8 AM – 10 PM on Monday – Saturday and 8 AM – 8 PM on Sunday. With written approval, alcohol is permitted with some restrictions. To check availability and submit a request for rental, individuals can fill out the Request for Rental Form during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. If the requested date is available, a deposit for the main hall is due within 3 business days, and all fees must be paid in full 30 days prior to the event. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days in advance, and permits will only be issued to adults 18 years of age or older. Funerals and memorials may be an exception to this rule.
