Welcome to Lanphere Dunes Unit, a stunning park and tourist attraction located at 6800 Lanphere Road, Arcata, California 95521. As part of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Lanphere Dunes offers visitors the chance to explore some of the most beautiful and biologically rich coastal habitats in the world. We are excited to announce the re-opening of the Salmon Creek Unit of Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge starting Friday, August 23. Please note that a portion of the Shorebird Loop Trail will remain closed due to ongoing repairs to the levee and tide gate.
