Located at 6600 Del Amo Boulevard, Lakewood, California, our library serves the eastern area of the city, including eight elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. Named in honor of Lakewood Mayor George H. Nye, Jr., who passed away while in office in 1971, the library is committed to fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning. The library is supported by the dedicated Friends of Lakewood Libraries, a volunteer-run organization established in 1972. This group actively contributes to the library's success through events, fundraising, and community engagement, enhancing the services we offer to our patrons.
