"I gave two starts because when I walked in the ladies up front just stared at me and didn’t welcome me in. I had to speak to them first. I’m black. The next lady that walked in was an older white lady and they welcomed her in offered her coffee and asked for her name and who she was there to see. This is the second time I came to this shop and they did the same thing. The old lady working in front always looks at me like she’s disgusted and when I speak to her she looks at me like she doesn’t know what I’m talking about and acts like she’s on the phone. I already paid for my car to be fixed here and I still don’t get a welcome. People wonder why black people act the way they do, it’s because we get mistreatment for no reason."

"I had a bad experience with this location. Had an appointment set for the morning, called ahead to ask how long it was going to take to get an estimate on a broken window, was told 15-20 minutes so I kept the appointment. Got there early to make sure I was the first checked-in so I would be done fast. Ended up waiting 40 minutes and left since I was going to be late for work. They took a lady before me who came in 10-15 minutes after me. They weren't apologetic but I made another appointment and got the estimate at a later date. Was told verbally and in an email that they ordered the replacement window but checked in 2.5 weeks later since no word and turns out they never ordered the window. Will be taking business elsewhere."

"I had a great experience here for my minor scratch and bump (hit & run) on my brand new car. You know how much that hurts. I was treated with respect and kindness. They did everything they could to keep my costs low and gave me referrals for other service providers that could do the job without using my insurance. My scratch on my new car is gone and I was referred to someone who can come to my house to remove the slight dent. I’m so relieved and grateful. Highly recommend. Very fair place."

"If you have any attention to detail and care about your vehicle do not use G and C. I am not sure why there are so many positive reviews. Their was good communication from the start. However the work did not match. Someone tried to steal my Ford Ranger in Oakland and damaged the driver side door lock and the ignition. G and C replaced the door and ignition components. When I went to pick up the truck the driver side window was extremely difficult to roll up and down (manual window), the door panel mount was broken, the door latch was tight, there were runs in the paint, and the key did not open the passenger door lock. G and C fixed the problems, minus the door panel mount and the window. The window is not the same as before. I don't usually bad mouth people. But there is no quality control at G and C. There is clearly no pride in the work being completed here. Find another shop Edit: I am updating my review to 4 starts because G and C reached out and fixed some issues. They replaced the window regulator, fixed the runs in the door jams, and corrected the overspray. I appreciate their effort to complete the job to a higher standard. Thank you."
