Dr. Jacqueline Casillas is a board-certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist and the medical director of Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach. Located at 2653 Elm Avenue in Long Beach, California, Dr. Casillas received her medical degree from UCLA and completed her residency and fellowship at UCLA as well. She is a professor in pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and serves as the director of the UCLA Daltrey/Townshend Teen and Young Adult Cancer Program. Dr. Casillas is the principal site investigator of the Children’s Oncology Group at Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute, offering clinical trials to pediatric cancer patients from birth to young adulthood. Her research, funded by the National Cancer Institute, focuses on access to care and quality of life for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancer survivors, particularly in underserved communities. Her research findings have been published in medical journals and she has presented her work nationally and internationally.
