Dr. Jeffrey B. Allan, a highly respected physician with a rich background in gerontology and internal medicine, founded Alamar Healthcare in 1995. With a career spanning roles as a USC-trained gerontologist, nursing home administrator, and founding board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, Dr. Allan brings unparalleled expertise and compassion to his practice. His education from the UCLA School of Medicine and extensive experience at the Veterans Administration Hospital have shaped his award-winning approach to healthcare.
At Alamar Healthcare, we are committed to serving the diverse health needs of both men and women. Our services span from preventive care, in line with Dr. Allan's belief that “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” to specialized treatment for chronic diseases such as cardiovascular issues, IBS, and cancer. We also offer mental health support, coordinating care for conditions like depression, anxiety, and Alzheimer's Disease.
New patients are welcome to schedule their first visit by calling us at (805) 484-0055. Following your initial appointment, our team will assist you in arranging follow-up care for chronic conditions, acute needs, or urgent responses as necessary. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with a lunch closure from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Please note that we are closed on weekends and major holidays.
For urgent responses, please communicate your needs with our staff or answering service. While we provide outgoing general information via text or email, we do not accept incoming communications through these channels to ensure your privacy and security.

"You won't find a better place! Dr. Allan is one who listens to you. He actually has a conversation. Does not rush through your visit at all. Gives you all the time you need and pays attention. He will help you not dismiss your comments or concerns. Oh and this I love, he actualĺy walks you to the front desk! Just shows how devoted he is to his patients. Unfortunately I know about doctors as I had my first surgery at 6 months old. In and out of hospitals growing up so this makes me an expert! ;) They are not all like him. Was lucky to find him and I am grateful to be his patient. He's simply the best and you would be lucky to have him!"
