Officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 19, this lush green space is the result of a dedicated community effort and substantial investment aimed at enhancing local outdoor amenities. Wrigley Greenbelt is a testament to community collaboration and environmental stewardship. The $3.82 million project was made possible through generous funding, including $1.62 million from the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District grants, $1 million from Park Impact fees, and $1.2 million from the Construction & Demolition Recycling Program funds. Additionally, Cal Fire grants, secured by the Conservation Corps of Long Beach, and a $1.2 million allocation by State Senator Lena Gonzalez, ensure ongoing restoration and maintenance of this beautiful space.
