"### Study Room Reservations I've recently switched from studying in the engineering building's empty classrooms to the library. In the library, I use the quiet zone on the second floor for work that requires silence. For tasks that require audio, I reserve a study room. These rooms can be booked for up to three hours per day. My strategy is to use this time strictly for tasks requiring audio. ### IT Services and Amenities On the technical side, the library offers a data center on the 4th floor, although much of it is moving to the cloud. Through the IT Service desk, you can check out a laptop with administrator privileges. This is highly convenient, despite a minor hiccup I experienced with a Windows update. Additional amenities include the option to check out mice, power cords, and even calculators. ### General Tips and Courtesy One thing to note: if you reserve a study room, make sure to leave on time. I don't enjoy having to ask people to vacate a room I've reserved. There's an intriguing feature where rooms may soon be locked and unlocked via mobile phones. So, remember to carry your phone if you step out. ### Study Room Preferences My preferred study rooms are 341 and 236, thanks to their spaciousness and features like windows and writing boards. However, I don't often use them because they're usually booked by groups who need them more than I do. If they are unreserved, I consider myself lucky and make use of them. ### Additional Amenities The third floor offers cozy chairs ideal for naps, covered in pleasing blue leather. The library's architecture also adds to its appeal, with features like circular windows and a curved building design. Remember, be quick to reserve a room; these spots get booked fast. Overall, the library is equipped to meet various needs, making it an ideal workspace. I like to bike to school from home. There’s a bike rack."
"It’s a beautiful library and a great study space. The staff is very friendly and will help you to the best of their ability. The computers have all the Adobe programs and many others, so it’s great if you need to use a program but can’t afford to purchase it for your own computer. There are study rooms that can be rented. It can get a bit noisy during peak hours, but the more floors you go up the quieter it gets. The writing center is located in the library, which is a great place to go to if you ever need help with a paper or writing in general. You can also chat with a librarian online, which is a great resource for a lot of your questions (such as questions on citing and whatnot). There’s also a mini Starbucks located at the library, which is great if you need an emergency pick-me-up or quick snack. I also love how the library is open 24 hours during the week (M-F), so you can stay late if you have something to work on."
"The staff is friendly and helpful. The writing center is located here. This is Marshall's new library."
"Great library. Many computers to use although they are always occupied. If you want to study in a quiet setting, avoid the study center where people likes to talk rather than whisper. Also, the restrooms are dirty."
