Located at 3609 Hughes Street, Huntington, West Virginia, the Wayne County Community Services Office (WCCSO) has been a cornerstone of support for the community since its incorporation in 1983. As a local government office, we are dedicated to coordinating a variety of programs and services that benefit individuals and families in need throughout Wayne County.

Our Services:

- Food Pantries: We leverage available resources, including donations, partnerships with the Facing Hunger Food Bank, USDA commodities, and the Emergency Food and Shelter Program, to assist low-income families, the elderly, and those facing emergencies every month.

- Medicaid Personal Care Program: Offering hands-on, in-home services, this program supports individuals who meet medical and financial eligibility criteria. Our services are based on a functional assessment conducted by medical professionals.

- Family Resource Centers: As part of the West Virginia Starting Points Family Resource Center Association, we collaborate to ensure children and families in West Virginia are safe, healthy, and self-sufficient. This initiative is supported by a grant from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.

- Medicaid Aged and Disabled Waiver (ADW) Program: We provide essential in-home and community services to eligible individuals aged 18 and older who are both medically and financially qualified.

- Veterans Community Care Program: Our dedicated staff delivers high-quality personal and environmental in-home care to eligible veterans who have served our country with honor.
