"So my dad passed away on 11.11.2020. He was cremated and I had asked Kelly the funeral director if I could have some ashes to keep with me. She sent me a brochure of different items I could choose from. I chose a beautiful glass blown pendant. In December after the funeral I called and spoke with Kelly regarding when I would receive my pendant. She explained that it was a process. First she needed to send some ashes to a place in Tennessee that would make the pendant and then they would send it to me. Well here we are almost April 2021 and still no pendant. I have called the Ryan and Shorten funeral home at least 15-20 times over the course of a month. Sadly the only people that answer the phones are an answering agency. They have assured me that my messages to Kelly have been sent as “urgent” but I have yet to receive any call back. I am more than irritated and angry first for being ignored and second I don’t have my dad to keep with me. Unfortunately I live in Texas, but if I lived in Ohio you can bet I would be raising all kinds of hell. I urge anyone that has lost a loved one, DO NOT USE RYAN AND SHORTON FUNERAL HOME!!!!"
