"One of the best places in the city . I have been a member and have spent long hours in this quiet , beautiful space."
"Gorgeous books, in a gorgeous space. Staff was very accommodating to the special circumstances in which I came to be a patron. To add, staff was very welcoming and informative. Please add a visit on your to-do list, you won't be disappointed."
"I love this space so much. Plenty of seating to sit and work, relax, browse, or read from their awesome collections of both new and old books and magazines. The Mercantile is also a great cultural center in Cincinnati (speaking as someone who is very new to the city). My first time at The Mercantile, I attended the unveiling of the Peter H. Clark portrait, and I immediately knew I'd continue to frequent this space"
"Oh what a hidden gem this library is! Its conveniently located at 414 walnut street in downtown Cincinnati. The history of the location and what they pay in rent is worth asking any of the friendly and knowledgeable staff. It's very clean and very well kept. Its quiet and so cozy with views all around of beautiful Cincinnati. It is free to the public and well worth the visit."
"My fiance found this while we were searching for bookstores and libraries to visit while in Cincinnati. Every time we go out of town we visit book stores libraries and comic shops. We're nerds like that. When she found this place we had the idea of getting married in a library and choose this place. We contacted the staff and they were more than happy to host us. Well this past Thursday we invited our family up and we got married on the library's 184th birthday. I was nervous and almost passed out but we made it work. I couldn't imagine doing this anywhere else. The books on display just made me want to read and hang out and spend my whole day there. No matter what happens this library will always hold a special place for us. My wife and I had our first date in a bookstore and we got married in a library. I couldn't ask for more."
