"I recently discovered this shop and am in love with it. They have a wide selection of items. It's a perfect place to buy a gift. They have gorgeous jewelry. My favorite is the candles. I have several and the owner, who is always there and super nice, makes them herself so you can take your candle in to be refilled!"
"I found this shop about a month ago, just after it opened, and was so excited to see a new small business opening in the neighborhood! Even better- it is filled with treasures, all either made by women or from “women owned” businesses! I loved the clean interior and the overall feel of the owner’s style coming thru her shop! I bought candles (obsessed with the “Volcano” scent) earrings, a few soaps for gifts, and wanted more! Megan, the owner made me feel welcome immediately and we laughed when we realized we have the same name! I’ve since sent friends in who have purchased gifts and loved it as well. It’s also admirable that she’s keeping it simple and not paying tons of money for a website- forces you to actually “shop local!” Newtown needed this little treasure. Congrats Mercantile on Main St., we will be back!"
