Reviews
"Books on every topic at great prices. The knowledge you seek about anything and everything and it's affordable. Loved this book store for years and years. The library is great and all, but this place makes it nice and easy to own your favorites and sell back the ones you didn't love."
"I took a big box of books to half priced books most in very good condition. They offered me less than $5 not a piece for all of them. I will be donating my books in the future. I can understand maybe paying only a dollar or two for a book that sell for $10 or $15 but they offered me maybe 20 cents each. understand now why their selection of books for sale has become not as nice. In the past they were better but I believe eBay bought them. It’s a shame. Live and learn."
"The location in Florence has a pretty good selection of books. Some what recommend checking other stores for selling books. My girlfriend got $7 for 7 books that were originally priced over $25. That’s not something I think is a terrible thing except they have gotten away with putting stain and tattered books up for sale for the same price as other books that are in better condition. That’s my only real complaint."
"love half price books! can’t get enough of it. i love books, this place makes me never want to go to a barnes and noble or joseph beth ever again. genuinely, i’ve seen books that are 40 dollars go for 5 at half price books. it’s smart if you’re a big reader and love reading on paper. really nice and cute place too, it’s very organized and the cashiers and workers are very sweet."
"Not bad for making purchases, but the prices offered when selling are outrageously low. I do not recommend selling here. Had a bag of about a dozen mixed books from the last year or two. Some were even signed special editions, but I was offered less than $18. So think $1-2 per hardback that they'll sell for $10-20--maybe more. They need to consider giving a store credit option that's more than cash. I really need to make a Pango account."
