"I was hired through a temp service and was so excited to get started. My first day was great, the second day I began to feel weak and sick, I informed the supervisor and team leader after going to the bathroom 5 or 6 times that I wasn't feeling well...they ask if I needed to go home and I told them I needed to work and stayed through the 12 hour shift ...I was a little slow and could barely lift the small roll of plastic. Went home where it got worse and it ended up being Influenza and Bronchitis...I missed my third day and fourth day, which is today. I was given a nebulizer and antibiotics for the bronchitis,as I'm working swing shift ...12 hour shifts I have two days off ...so I would have plenty of time to heal with the time I have already had off and I recieved a text saying I was fired for attendance. Attendance...as if I just played hookey from work. I did NOT chose to get the flu ...I didn't skip work...I didn't want to miss work I am ILL and coming in would be dangerous and irresponsible to the other employees I work with. This is a bad strain of the flu I'm literally wincing when I move my eyes....and I'm fired????. That's how they care for their employees? I needed this job and didn't chose to get the flu the second day I worked ...nobody choses this.."
"My driver had an eta of 15:03 until he got into Cincinnati and stuck in a traffic jam. New eta is 15:45-16:00. I called the office and they told me the driver would have to wait until morning to be offloaded because they close at 15:30. I told him to park on site so he could be ready first thing. A little while after the driver arrived the night guy came out and said he would offload him. Saved his reload and was pretty quick about it too. I would not expect this to be the norm because the manager seemed very firm on the 15:30 closing time, but I really appreciate the guy working the night of 7/28/2021. Thanks so much"
