"I wish I could give 0 stars. I just picked up my mom sitting outside sobbing, writhing in pain and vomitting blood outside the ER. Dr. Kevin Ziegler was unprofessional, rude, and accused her of "drug seeking" My Mom has NEVER done drugs. She is dying from end stage Cirrhosis (that she didn't get from alcohol but from an autoimmune disease PBC) she is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and how dare this "dr" and I use that term lightly concerning him. She is a chronic pain patient, she's never missed a pill count or failed a drug test. She's also on the liver waiting list where they test her at every visit. Before this happened she worked at a national park as a tour guide for 19 years, never failed a regular test then. My mom already is scared of hospitals and this just did it in for her. She wasn't drug seeking, she is a chronic pain patient (who just got her refill today) if this clown had bothered to read he'd know her spleen is 24cm and pressing on her kidney, her liver is enlarged, her gallbladder has reoccurring stones and blockages...I could go on. We already have to beg her to get checked out and now this. To make such a sick and dying patient this scared to get life threatening issues fixed should be considered attempted murder. I wouldn't never recommend this place to anyone. And we will make sure never visits any of the st. Elizabeth hospitals again. He had no valid reason for what he did tonight. If you don't want to help people don't be a doctor! What a waste of your mommy and daddy's money."
"Not able to give this hospital a zero. I'm writing as the child of an elderly parent that's visited too many times. Not all are bad at their jobs but the worst medical professionals I've ever dealt with work here. From the emergency room, to social workers to doctors in the medical building. Someone named Craig F was particularly nasty to my family in the ER at 2 or 3 in the morning as our mother was fighting for her life and being transferred to the Edgewood location. I really feel bad for all the patients and most of the nurses that work with these people. Stay away if you can but St. Elizabeth has a monopoly in this area of NKY."
"I would like to take a moment to thank the good people at St. Elizabeth emergency room. Had to rush our Dad there due to both his age and a number of significant health problems. These folks were attentive, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. We are so very grateful. Did we have to wait?, of course. Were there a good number of other people in our same position with someone they loved as well who was in pain?, of course. Was it both chaotic and scary? Damn right it was so before you even get here you must understand that these folks are doing the very best they can. There simply is no time for egos or panic or me first. They know what they are doing and let's all keep our heads and be a help not a hindrance."
"Visited ER with my 13 year old twins, one of who sustained a pretty severe knee injury. I was extremely stressed at having an injured child and being a single parent with 2 children in a difficult situation. Of course we went to the ER for the medical care and St Elizabeth’s response from the moment we came in was wonderful. From sending a team to help me get my daughter out of the car, to the kindness of the nurses, x-ray techs and every single person we encountered. Each of them were so incredibly good and compassionate to my very scared daughter, helping to put both of us at ease. Honestly I would expect most ERs to be able to handle orthopedic injuries but what stands out to be the most is the outstanding way in which every single person cared for us!! It just meant the world to me and it will not be forgotten!!! In behalf of my entire family, thank you for helping us through this really scary and stressful time!"
"If you aren’t going to die in 20 minutes take the time to drive to a better hospital. I came into the ER after slicing my hand open putting a fire pit together, I was not treated based on severity but on a first come first serve basis. After sitting in the waiting room for more than 30 minutes I was finally taken back to a room that was either for suicide watch or incarcerated personnel (camera in the corner and all). They PA came in rather quickly and after a little poking and prodding headed back out ne’er to be seen again (waiting on lidocaine, iodine and a suture kit apparently takes quite a while…) Didn’t even bother sending a nurse in to clean up the wound but registration will race past everyone to get that money that they obviously aren’t using properly."
