"I went to Schwab's last Saturday and purchased Fertilome weed killer in the 32oz size. It was quite expensive, but it's Fertilome, so I wanted it. Today I wondered if Amazon sold it, since you can't get Fertilome just anywhere. Low and behold, the same exact product was $20 bucks cheaper. Not 5 or 10, a 20 dollar difference. Wondering why, I called Schwab's to ask why such a difference. The woman I spoke with said she doesn't set the prices and offered no reason just a lot of attitude. I can understand a 5 or so dollar difference being a small company, but $20 is too much. Next time I need my fertilizer I'll go to Bloomin Garden."

"Important Update: Check Cub Cadet website for discounts and special financing by May 18. Was in the market for a Cub Cadet 30 inch battery powered tractor mower. It is just the right size for my yard and environmentally friendly. The second time I went to Schwab's Outdoor equipment, they had one available! Unfortunately, as a retailer, they have chosen not to take American Express or Cub Cadet credit card due to the charge back from these cards. So, I couldn't utilize 12 month free financing. My delivery cost $100 because I am more than 15 miles beyond the store (23 miles or 8 miles more). Gee, I'm buying a $3,199 mower, seems the delivery cost added by the owner to my order is a bit over the top. The 1st time I stopped in, the other sales associate told me they would waive my delivery cost which I told the owner, but he ignored me. On the day of delivery, the technician was prompt, friendly and demonstrated the mower! At that time, Home Depot had 203 of the mowers with $400 off and free delivery (exact model I was buying, I checked with Cub Cadet), but of course no set up and testing nor demonstration. So obviously, I purchased from Schwab's Outdoor equipment since I have known their fine reputation for 40 years and the recommendations I got from my friends. Hey, the $400 extra cost is certainly worth it for the technician's attention to detail. However, it seems that they should accept Cub Cadet financing for 12 months just as cash since Schwab is a Cab Cadet dealer and charging full delivery cost is a little irritating. I felt like Dan the owner was insulted when I asked to use American Express, Cub Cadet financing and charge me for less delivery cost (certainly I was willing to pay a fee). I really like the employees! Great customer service and very friendly. These days, small family owned businesses like this one are struggling due to the lack of products from manufacturers to sell. Sure hope Schwab's Outdoor equipment is able to weather the storm. Family owned businesses with great reputations are the bedrock of retailers in these days of Amazon and big box stores! Spring 2023 follow-up. The propelling of the mower was not calibrated. I was forced to get the directions on the process from Cub Cadet who were adgatated that the dealer didn't perform this function before delivery."

"Our newish Cub Cadet ZT1-42" had a problem with the main power belt and needed quick repair. Called and talked to Robert who said they could get to it in 3 weeks. Since we didn't have much choice, we had them pick it up. I asked them to change the oil and sharpen the blade too. 1-1/2 weeks later we got a call saying it was ready. The spring on the pulley? had sprung and they had it all ready for us. The price was reasonable and service outstanding! What more could you ask for!?! Thanks Schwab! You can be sure we'll be back!!"
