"In May I requested an estimate for a roof replacement. This was completed promptly and without issue. I also contacted two other companies for estimates. Since T.H.E. Roofing Company was 20% higher than both other estimates, I went with someone else. Nobody ever followed up with me until I received an invoice last week for $325 with a handwritten note stating “THIS IS EXTREMELY PAST DUE. PLEASE SEND A CHECK TODAY. THANKS” Yes, all caps and “TODAY” was underlined twice. Never in any communication leading up to or during the estimate process did anyone mention a fee for an estimate. Since the industry standard is free estimates I would never have agreed to pay someone $325 for an estimate. Proceed with caution if you contact this company."
