"I don't like to leave negative reviews, and often don't. However I find everything about this experience absolutely ridiculous and would like the office to settle this sooner rather than later. This has already wasted enough of my time and mental energy. I went in for a checkup ONLY as a recommendation from insurance who made it clear they cover check-ups 100%. I thought I might as well begin to develop a relationship with a doctor in the area because I was looking for one to become my family's primary care doctor. I called 2x before the appointment to assure that this would be covered by my insurance. They confirmed both times. I went in and confirmed this again at the desk. I sat with the doctor, and he began asking more prodding questions that lead to him deciding to do blood work and "help extra with a strained arm", I again asked on both "This is part of the covered check-up, right?" He confirmed. I bought pharmacy ibuprofen he recommended (on an arm that needed stretching and for which I was already taking Ibuprofen I had at home). He even advised I schedule (a very much unneeded) follow up to this. I asked if this would be any extra cost and he confirmed "NO!" I came in and it literally took 15 seconds. He walked in, asked if I was good, I said "Yes" and he said "Bye". He has charged me $125 in total for all of this including $92 for an appointment that was a waste of time and gas money entirely, not including the overpriced and unneeded ibuprofen he instructed me to buy. I called to straighten it out and they said to go through insurance. I go to insurance and they say the office won't answer them. The office sends me to collections!!! I explained the situation to collections and they promised it will not hurt my credit, so I still have not paid out of principal, because I want this swindler to stop his actions. He should communicate with the people calling his office (especially the insurance company) as opposed to trying to bully with notices and hiring collections to 'take care of me'. This office needs to be accountable and take care of this now! The collections agency agreed and cancelled their contract with Christ hospital. However, I am still disappointed with this office, and with dealing with this for so long (going on a year now) I am disappointed with Christ hospital as whole."
