Covington Police Department

"Daily I see this police dept wastes our tax dollars. Three and four cop cars pull up for simple traffic stops and it’s a complete joke. They literally can not pull up on someone without having the rest of the hen coop right behind them. Sick of having one lane roads blocked for no reason. This includes three cops pulling my husband over because he went around one of them (while a cop was blocking the intersection). Oh they will say he was “speeding” but not one of them clocked him they just “heard his engine”. I suppose that’s what you hear when an engine accelerates… Not only that, this cop states that he “stopped his current traffic stop so he could find him (my husband) ”. Which means the other traffic stop he was on previously was also for NOTHING! Please someone send them across the river so they can have some actual work to do. Wish I could give negative stars…."

"Wish I could remember the officer s name but last night I was sucker punched by some crackhead. And dropped my phone an other things. The officer said he would look for it an I was skeptical cause I know there busy. This man took into consideration I just had a terrible night and would have prob went back there to find my phone cause my kids pics and everything on there. And not only did he find it but brought it to the hospital for me. That officer is a great guy and can't thank them enough for there effort."

"Just saw a video of a Covington police officer pull his gun and order a free citizen to sit on the curb because he was riding an electric scooter on the sidewalk. Let that sink in, he was threatened with death for riding a scooter. Absolute trash cop."

"My sister lives on 13th, and has witnessed so many people being harassed and searched even after they call dogs in and nothing is found. This happens daily. I understand they have a job to do but I find it hard to believe it's not profiling that's going on here. Not one person stopped has been white for one thing. Oh but be sure all 6 cops involved are. Why is there 4 cop cars involved in stopping 1 car with only a driver or 2 people at most in the car. Overkill!!! I'm scared for my sister living there, and for her unsuspecting neighbors who are being put through this. It's only a matter of time before covington cops are on national news for something horrific, I feel it in my bones. Please be safe anyone who may reside there that reads this."

"I got searched I wasn’t doing anything I was sitting on the side of the street about six or 7 o’clock at night minding my own Business. Was not messing with nobody was dwelling over my children that I lost custody over crying just to be harassed and yelled at by one man cop the lady cop was nice. There was a few other men cop there that was nice, but one of the man cops was very disrespectful to me. And they searched my purse. They did not put back my prescription glasses that were in a clear case. They belong to my husband and he can’t see at all so now his Prescription glasses are gone And we just now bought them !!! Does harassment by cops need to stop just because they got a bag does not mean they should be bothering anybody that’s not making racket I don’t care if somebody calls in if you see somebody that’s just sitting there by herself not screaming not making any commotion at all just to be harassed!!! So sick of it I’m asking Did y’all see a clear case over here? I got harassed by the place not long ago as I was sitting right here and they went through my bag and I can’t find my prescription glasses now and they was in my bag last!!!"
