"Customer Service at the office is terrible. They talk to customers any type of way & are allowed to get away with. The online payment system is inaccurate & they pretend to have no way to communicate to the people that work outside the office but I’ve seen them contact them when they want too. I used the online system & was given an amount to pay & still had services & about 3 hours later was shut off & told there was no way they could tell the workers the bill had been paid. I was told I had to pay another amount on top of what was already paid plus an extra $80 was due. Then when you call to talk with them they are rude. Poor customer service & rude people."

"In the past 6 months, I've had two trees fall between the sidewalk and the street, I've sold a house, and I've moved into another house... all within the City of Fairfield limits. The city came out and helped clear the street of the trees and picked up all of the resulting branches and stumps. The stump was even ground out about a month after the tree fell. All of this happened with just one call to the city department. When I sold the house, they were out the very next day to get a final meter reading on the water service and was quick to get me my final bill. Moving into the new house, they were equally as quick to get our service cut over from the old owner to us. Both of these service calls were accomplished with one call to the city. Just today, I called to get a green recycling bin ordered for my house. Total time on the phone was less than 5 minutes and I'm confident that they will have this last request turned around quickly. Oh... and I recently reserved a shelter at Harbin park... same easy to deal with service. I appreciate the work that the city of Fairfield utilities department accomplishes and am glad that this is where I call home."

"Fire Hydrant in front of my house has been leaking water for years and sits in a muddy pit. Adam states they are working on a fix while also trying not to place 500 homes in danger while repairs are made. I will give 3 stars for now and trust that Adam will eventually find a solution."
