Reviews of Florence Government Center
"Came in to have a document faxed (as directed the first trip in), waited 10 minutes in line, waited another 8 minutes for the fax to take place only to be told that it ‘wouldn’t process’ and the girl had to go to lunch now. She told me to get back in line and wait for another associate to try to fax it again and reiterated that she had to go to lunch now. Another total waste of time and I’m now headed to Staples to pay for the fax so I can get this done today."
"ONE STAR for not enforcing Firework laws in the city of Florence! It is KY LAW that you cannot ignite fireworks within 200 feet of any home, vehicle, structure or another person, yet every neighborhood in Florence is breaking this law! Every year for at least 2 weeks around the 4th the residents of Florence are rudely forced to listen to their neighbors fireworks at all hours of the night. Many of the fireworks are of commercial grade and are too big and loud for Florence neighborhoods scaring dogs, wildlife and disturbing sleep. It is also not uncommon for these rude folks to set them off till 2 AM! When are we going to do something about this? Fireworks should be allowed maybe for 2 days leading up to July 4th and 2 days after AND THAT IS IT. Have a set time too, so that people can get some sleep. How about Fireworks allowed from 6 to 10 pm?? That is not unreasonable. WHY are there NO BOUNDARIES ON THIS? Gets worse every year!!"
"If the city of Florence is going to continue bringing people to this area then it needs more public restrooms. These businesses usually have one toilet per restroom and yall are bringing lots of foreigners here that have never used toilets before apparently. Florence needs a Buccees since it's turning into a big city. Florence is described as a "great place to raise your kids" but once they grow up, they're expected to survive on fast food jobs because Florence has so many business contracts bringing new people to the area, you are taking away opportunities from those of us that grew up and went to school here. Florence also has an increasing homeless population but you people would rather build hotels and mediocre burger restaurants instead of a shelter. Not to mention the median pay wage of this area is $14-$15 meanwhile rent is $1700, yall don't care about us! We also need more section 8 housing, this is an issue that you all have KNOWN about for the passed 4 years and still decide to build hotels and restaurants instead of anything beneficial. Stop sending your homeless community to other cities to make it someone else's problem. FIX THE PROBLEM YOURSELVES. Stop putting the money in your own pockets and put it into the community. Also I am so tired of how unbearably hot it is in Florence every single year because you all keep cutting down more trees. I believe the city of Florence owes me financially to have my car repainted because the car has been in Florence for 14 years getting baked in the sun every summer. Florence is nothing but a concrete desert where most of the land space, which is parking lots, doesn't even get used. A whole chunk of Meijer's parking lot never gets used but gets baked by the sun. Florence is absolutely not a "great place to raise your kids" because outside activities are limited and once they grow up, they're expected to survive on restaurant wages (not everyone in Florence comes from money. Not everyone has parents that do all their children's responsibilities like pay their bills and get them a job at the family business.) Florence only cares about money not the environment or it's people."
"I just rudely got hung up on after trying to ask a question on which option I need to hit in order to find out if my cars license plate is cancelled. They need more polite workers in the morning"
"Poor government center web-site makes it very hard to find the drivers license office, and the office to pay the car tax. These should be on the home page, but instead they are hidden under hours of operations."
