"Busy trail, but not crowded. Lots of respectful quick passing. Seems popular with dog people & young families. A lot of up/down elevation changes -dome sloped, some steps. I bet it's even more beautiful with leaves on the trees."

"The Miami Fort Trailhead is easy to find at the end of the Shawnee Park Road. There is a small parking lot for trail access. The trail is about 1.4 miles out and back with two branches in the middle. After a fairly steep uphill hike on entry, one branch walks through the Miami Fort ruins while the other branch walks on the ridge overlooking the Great Miami River bottoms prior to it reaching the Ohio. At the end of the trail, there is a nice overlook of the Ohio River and the Carroll Lee Cropper Bridge. To get the best river views, visit late Fall to early Spring before the trees and brush leaf out."
