Hilltop Farm was lovingly established by William J. Doud Jr. (Uncle Bill) and Mary T. Doud (Tee Tee) on April 1, 1946. Known affectionately as "The Grand Hotel," the farm welcomed an endless stream of family visitors, creating cherished memories for all who came. Uncle Bill and Tee Tee's spirit of independence was evident in their self-sufficient lifestyle, from growing their own vegetables to raising livestock.
Their legacy lives on in this nature preserve, a tribute to their love for family and wildlife alike. Tee Tee's vision ensured that Hilltop Farm would remain a sanctuary, protecting its rich history and the diverse creatures that call it home.
Limited parking is available in the small gravel lot adjacent to the trailhead. We invite you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of Hilltop Farm Nature Preserve, where history and nature intertwine to offer a peaceful retreat from the everyday hustle.

Reviews
"Didn't know this park was even here. Absolute Local gem"
"This park/preserve is much larger than you would expect when you pull into the parking area on Stout road. The trails are wide and well maintained and explore the ridge line, with one path going down to the fields by the weigh station on I-74. We spent several hours exploring the area and really enjoyed the varied terrain and scenery."
"I love Hilltop Farm Nature Preserve because I live here"
