Meet Dr. David L. Blandford, MD, a distinguished ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract/implant surgery and refractive surgery. Born and raised in Kentucky, Dr. Blandford has an impressive career in medical and surgical eye care. He received his B.S. degree with distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and his M.D. degree with distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmic Residency at the University of Kentucky and has contributed to over twenty-five medical papers and abstracts. Dr. Blandford is also a co-inventor of a patented medication delivery system for eye care.
Our esteemed team includes Dr. Bill Curtis, an expert in cataract/implant surgery, and Dr. Evans, who specializes in cataract/implant and refractive surgeries with a special focus on oculoplastics. Dr. Paul M. Karpecki, OD, FAAO, brings his expertise in dry eye treatments as a Clinical Director, and Dr. Emily Meister offers her passion for optometry and patient care.

"Need an emergency pair of glasses and can't get a copy of my previous prescription because it expired (thanks covid), next available appointment is August. What a joke, and I'm actually pretty sure that's a HIPPA infraction (failure to provide records when requested). The hours are terrible for anyone working. 8:30-4? Lol. Wait times have always been excessive in the lobby which is another reason I go infrequently. If you don't want me to spend my money locally that's fine, there is a chain nearby that will be getting my business."
"Very disappointed had an appointment on a Friday (which was made well over a month ago,) drove up there from an hour away just to find out they were closed that day. Did not receive a phone call or text message or anything about them being closed and for me not to come in. Now I have to wait until to end of the month to be seen after already waiting 2 months for this date, ugh!"
"This Dr. Actually saved my life! Went in for a routine eye exam and he found a blockage in my carotid arteries! He was very thorough in his exam! He even called my Dr and called my pharmacy to order blood thinner medicine for me himself. Soon I was in the process of scheduling a endarterectomy, spent 2 days in the hospital, home for 2 days, emergency service to Cincinnati(too windy for air care) don't remember the 3-5 days at that hospital, then 2 months later on new years eve another surgery removal of part of colon spent 2 more weeks in hospital, but now 1 year later I have never felt better. Many Thanks, to Dr. Blandford."
