"SOMEHOW-FWBC HAD THIS REMOVED! I WILL NEVER STOP TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT THEM!! NON WHITES NEED TO KNOW!!! Forced to give 1 star, but this "church" deserves zero stars. Some years ago, I attended church for the 1st time in my life. I was forbidden when I was young, but I felt it was time. I decided to attend the church in my neighborhood, Fairfield West Baptist Church....mistake. My biracial CHILD and I entered this "church" only to be unwelcomed in the most obvious ways. We were greeted by no one, and not 1 person would make eye contact with us. I remember my son asking if that is how church is, I told him I had never been to one before, so maybe? The man who was speaking in the front claimed that he had intended to talk about (insert religious topic), then he looked directly at me and said "however today I will be discussing the sin of mixing races". He talked all about how it used to be used as a form of punishment!!! This man never broke eye contact with me. I stared back in defiance, and my son asked if we should leave. I told him I came to this "church" to show the lord my gratefulness, and I would not let this devilman deter me. I told my son that this was not a true representation of what God is or how he feels. As we left, I noticed the man shaking all the young mens hands, so I told my son to prepare for this, but the man shook the young man's hand in front of my son, and when my son walked up with his hand out, THE MAN TURNED AND WALKED AWAY!!! My son was 9 and got his 1st lesson on racism that day thanks to Fairfield West Baptist "church". It took me many years to write this, because I normally would not speak so poorly of anyone, or organization. However, my son is grown now, 19 this year and he mentioned this to me the other day. We talked about it and he asked if I ever told anyone what kind of "church" we went to. I said no, and we thought, maybe we should post it here, so that any other mixed race individuals would know to stay clear of this place. Shameful that this is located in my own neighborhood! *12/4/2023 In response to the reply of this review: Your attempt to discredit my experience within your house of worship is rejected. What happened to me and my son, happened. Plain and simple. I do however find it interesting that you have only chosen to respond to this review now, when it has been posted for years. Furthermore, your response was not to invite me back to see the real side of “your people”, it was to call me a liar. You have been and will continue to be, a shameful institution of the neighborhood your building is in. I warn anyone who values diversity to stay far away from this building, as it doesn’t really reflect the love Jesus had for everyone. I have moved out of that area completely, but anytime you call me a liar, I will be responding. I hope you have a blessed day."

My family and I came to Fairfield West almost 7 yrs ago and it has hugely impacted our everyday walk with God. The people of FWBC are great, they are like our family. We are connected in so many ways, through Awanas, Nursery, Children's Church, 34/56 and Life Groups. They have something for every age. We love our Church family!"
