Welcome to the Miami University Police Department (MUPD), your dedicated partner in ensuring safety and security on campus and in the surrounding community. Located at 4950 Trenton Oxford Road, Oxford, Ohio 45056, our department is committed to maintaining a safe environment through collaboration, service, protection, and enforcement. With a team of 29 sworn police officers, 6 communication specialists, and 4 civilian support staff, we strive to achieve a collective vision for a better future.

At MUPD, we take pride in offering a diverse range of services designed to enhance the safety and well-being of our community. Our Community Oriented Policing (COP) programs are specifically tailored to benefit the Miami University community, providing resources and support to address safety concerns effectively.

We encourage members of the university community to utilize the Rave Guardian application, available for free on Android and iOS smartphones. This app serves as a vital tool for personal safety, allowing users to connect with the police department and access critical resources. Please ensure you register before downloading and logging into the app.

For non-emergency inquiries or to report a criminal offense, please contact our police dispatcher at 513-529-2222. Our services are available 24 hours a day. In case of an emergency, always dial 9-1-1 for immediate assistance.
