"The customer service here specifically by the barista who served us on July 21 2024 between 12pm and 1pm is HORRIBLE!!!! All we asked for was an extra shot of espresso that we were glad to pay for and that immediately put her in a foul mood. She was really rude and after we paid for 4 drinks ( which were super watered down and bland) she told us to leave the property though we were just sitting outside at the tables. She even threatened to call the cops on us. We left though as paying customers were should have been able to enjoy the coffee on premises."
"I came in to get a iced caramel latte, it tasted watered down and very milky I asked for an extra espresso and said I’ll pay for it then server starts get mad saying for me to make it iced espresso you have to wait hours for it to cool off so then I said that’s fine can I just please have it hot and gives me 2 small shot cups with regular coffee still makes me pay for it, then I start drinking it and it has coffee grounds on the bottom, my mom and surer also got coffee from here, my mom asked for iced gave her “iced” by adding cold water, then my sister husband asked to use restroom while we were sitting outside the cafe she told him no you can not you did not buy coffee he said my wife did she said no customers only and he walked out and she started to lock the doors and he started to take a picture of the sign and she walks out starts to yell at all of us saying you can’t take pictures of me we said we are not we can even show you, we are taking pictures of the sign says no you have to leave right now I don’t feel safe of you taking pictures of me we said we are not she said I don’t care we said we bought 4 coffee from you and sitting outside not bothering anybody and she said no you have to leave or I’ll call the cops. Very unprofessional, not good coffee at all, very rude service, long wait and very rude customer service. We did not appreciate being served like that or talked to, visting Cincinnati for the first time wanting to try a coffee shop here and got treated badly. The server also said she doesn’t have anything but caramel flavor."
"To start, the person who was working literally every position in the restaurant the day we visited was amazing. She is commendable for working in such a poorly managed establishment. She would be a great addition to any organization, especially in a management position. We visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and were honestly shocked by how understaffed and understocked this place was. Here are a few of the main things we observed/experienced: 1. They were out of a lot of things. For example, they had no napkins, no chocolate, no tuna, and almost no pastries. 2. We were surprised that a restaurant called Café de Paris had no pastries, other than two croissants, two chocolate chip muffins, and Doritos-flavored bagels. We expected a restaurant with this name to have a well-stocked pastry case. 3. The only employee working (again, one person was the cashier, busser, cook, server, barista, etc.) must not have been taught how to make coffee drinks or something. I ordered a mocha, and she didn’t know what a mocha was. When I told her, she said they were out of chocolate. I ordered a French vanilla. My partner ordered a cappuccino and she offered it iced. The drinks that we eventually received (we don’t blame her for the delay; again, she was the only one working) were totally unrecognizably awful. Both drinks tasted like sweet dish water. I honestly can’t describe the flavors. It was not coffee. It was like something was wrong with the machine and it was just producing dirty, sweetened water. When my partner returned the drink and said it tasted wrong, she didn’t take it off the bill. It wasn’t clear if she didn’t know how to or didn’t know whether she should. But I will say that the drink was completely unconsumable, and we should not have been expected to pay for it. 4. We ordered two sandwiches that didn’t match the description on the menu at all. We ate our sandwiches because we were hungry and they still tasted good. They were just missing some advertised ingredients. 5. The table next to us ordered a crepe that the menu said had nuts on it, but the crepe the customer received didn’t have nuts on it. When the customer asked the employee for the nuts, the employee said it doesn’t come with nuts and they don’t even have nuts in the store. She mentioned that a lot of the menu descriptions are incorrect. 6. They use store-bought sauces (Prego), which was odd for a place like this. 7. We were shocked to see what the employee was cooking on. She had a single hot-plate for making crepes. What this meant is that she had to make one crepe at a time. The table next to us ordered two crepes. The employee had to make one crepe, deliver it to the table, clean off the hot plate, and then make the second crepe. This was insane to witness. The table next to us was clearly agitated by how long the process took. It was awkward to witness the one person with their food and the other person watching their food being made. I think they ended up asking for their food to go. It was outrageous to see that the restaurant’s only cooking surfaces were one hot plate and one microwave. 8. When we went to pay, we only had a credit card. The employee handed my partner a cell phone and told him to enter his credit card number into the website /app (Square). When we expressed alarm and skepticism about that, she said that they don’t have a charger for the Square card reader, so the device is dead and she was told to run credit card transactions through the Square website on the phone. To reiterate, this employee did the best job with what she had, but this restaurant was astonishingly horribly managed."
"Went for brunch and they literally had no bacon and no eggs. Server person was really nice though. Obviously poor management. We just left"
"Food is absolutely nothing like the reviews or the website. Super misleading menu. People working were very nice but didn’t seem to know how to make any of the drinks on the menu. The other person in my party ordered a chai tea latte and got espresso with almond milk and a tea bag. I ordered an iced latte which tasted like burnt expired instant coffee. Overall not great. Please update your menu. Not to mention there were no bagels as advertised"
