Under the leadership of Operations Manager Brad Laffin, Administrative Assistant Karen Heinrichs, and Highway Maintenance Superintendent Dusty Messner, our team works diligently to ensure that the township's operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Our primary mission, in alignment with the Mercer County Engineer's Office, is to provide safe and superior rural local transportation and drainage systems. We achieve this through the building, maintaining, and managing of these infrastructure assets in a cost-effective manner, collaborating with local, state, and federal partners.

The Mercer County Engineer’s Office, led by County Engineer James A. Wiechart, is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of 385 miles of county roadways and 368 bridges. We work closely with township trustees throughout Mercer County to ensure the highest standards of roadway maintenance and improvement.

Our efforts encompass various phases of local road and transportation development, including survey and design, road maintenance and reconstruction, bridge and culvert construction, drainage improvements, and snow and ice control.
